Phantom Pains shows us how unforgiving and cruel the world can be and how everything society stands for is corrupted. The ones who need the most protection are exploited the most for the greed of wealthy men who have become bored and want to play God. This song shows us through the eyes of a child how sometimes there appears to be only one way out, and no matter how dark it may seem, they will take it, to take their lives into their own hands and get out of their situation.
